From 17 to 21 July, it is held in Idanha-a-Nova the XXIII Raiana Fair which, in this edition, associates the usual thematic "Products of the Earth" to the fact that it was the first Portuguese municipality to joint he international Bio-regions network. Organized alternately by the municipality of Idanha-a-Nova and by the Ayuntamiento de Moraleja, the Raiana Fair has adynamic role for the local economy, agricultural, animal, agro-food, forestry and cultural sectors, representing a hub of cross-border cooperation and the gradual integration of the socio-economic realities of the two regions, that are touching this area of the border of Portugal and Spain - the Beira Baixa and Extremadura.
The Raiana Fair is therefore an excellent opportunity to promote innovative territories, based on a sustainable economy, and the quality products produced from Idanha-a-Nova, the Geopark Naturtejo, Beira Baixa, Portugal, Spanish Extremadura, of Ibero-American countries and countries where there are Bio-regions.
