Inaugurated on September 23, 1857, the Teatro de Cervantes, with capacity for 700 spectators, is considered one of the oldest built in Spain.  

This Elizabethan-style theater was considered the new "circle" of the bourgeoisie of the time, where majestic dances were held.  

 

Over the years, the Theatre begins to host other activities, including opera, theaters, dances, concerts and circus shows.  

 

Currently this space belongs to the Municipality of Béjar, receiving about 400 shows every year.
