The nearest airport to Braga, Sá Carneiro Airport in Porto, is about 50km away from the city (by car). You can leave the airport by car, train, metro or by the GET BUS, which connects to Aeroporto-Braga.

 

To move around the city, you can use urban transport, known as TUB.

By Subway

To get out of the airport, just take the subway (purple line) and follow to Campanhã Station.

When arriving at Campanhã Station you should follow the steps below.

 

By Train

If you choose  Oporto, Campanhã Station will be your departure / arrival point. 

To take the Porto - Braga route, just take the green line to Braga and in about 1h. 

You want to visit a city of Coimbra, from Braga, being several times between 04:30a.m. and 8p.m., for trip lasted 2h30. 

For those coming from Lisbon, to Braga the will take about 4h30.

The train station is about 10min walk (700m) from Cathedral of Braga. A great starting point!

 

By Bus

 

If you are in Porto, the main Campo 24 de agosto bus station will be your starting point. The trip takes about 1h. From here you have several options to get to the city of Braga, and you can even do a day-trip.

From Lisbon, your starting point will be the Sete Rios bus station. As it is the capital of the country, it has several options to reach the city of Braga. The trip takes about 5h.

Most monuments and points of interest are located in the historic city center and the best way to get to know them is on foot. This way you will get to know a significant part of the city without resorting to transport.

If you plan to If you plan to visit Braga's Bom Jesus Sanctuary, you can take Bus 2 - every 30 minutes - which will drop you off at the base of the Bom Jesus staircase.

How to get from Braga to other Cities by Bus 

 

To explore other cities, Rede Expressos offers, from 2am to 11pm, the Braga-Porto route. With in 1h will be in the city of Braga. 

The journey Braga-Guimarães takes about 45 minutes, however, there are few time options for this route. 

If you want to go to Coimbra (Braga-Coimbra) count on 2h30 of travel: it has departures practically every hour from 9h30. 

To Fátima it is a 3h trip (Braga-Fátima). 

For Nazaré the best routes are at 13h and 15h (Braga-Nazaré). On the route Braga-Nazaré you can also choose to visit Alcobaça and Batalha. When you arrive in these cities you have to buy your ticket at the bus station (www.rodotejo.pt ), for one of the cities of your choice and thus complement your itinerary (Batalha, Nazaré or Alcobaça). 

 

If you leave early, you can catch the 7:30am express and arrive in the afternoon to the city of Évora (Braga-Évora).
