This fair has its roots in the former Feira Franca de Viseu, created by the Fair Letter granted by King D. João I, on January 10th, 1392.

Considered one of the oldest fairs in Portugal, with 626 years, it is held in Viseu, from the beginning of August until the middle of September.

It is a true living showcase of the traditions, products and culture of the region, as well as being the scene of concerts, shows, parades and activities for the whole family, with daily programming.
