History presents us Segura as a Portuguese border fortress, Commendation and Templary Castle. A step from Spain, with the river Erges dividing the two countries, the village is one of the largest "treasures" of the municipality of Idanha-a-Nova. 

This interpretation center, located in the Natural Park of the Tagus International, presents the biodiversity and the habitats of the municipality of Idanha-a-Nova interactive via multimedia devices. The rocks are covered and the forms of relief as a support for biodiversity as well as the habitats and landscapes of Beira and Alentejo. 

They are presented to rocks and fossils of the region, not forgetting the materials used in historical constructions. 

There is a small show of local products and a space dedicated to the pedestrian route "Rota das Minas".
