The Archaeological Museum
The Archaeological Museum of Rabat is an archaeological museum in Rabat, Morocco.
It opened in 1932 and contains the most extensive collection of archaeological artifacts found in Morocco.
It contains prehistoric and pre-Islamic collections and includes human remains from the Middle Paleolithic (probably Neaderthal) to the Neolithic period (4000 BC).
The discovery of more pieces in 1957 caused the museum to expand considerably, becoming a national museum, being the home of the collections of the National Museum since 1986.
