Mawazine Festival

The Mawazine Festival is an annual event dedicated to the celebration of world music.

It takes place in the city of Rabat, capital of Morocco, and consists of presentations by national and international artists.

 

It was created in 2001 by Mounir Majidi, personal secretary of King Mohammed VI, and is organized annually with donations from various foundations located in the country.

With the participation of more than 2.6 million people per edition, it is considered one of the biggest music festivals in the world.
