Roman Braga - Re-live Bracara Augusta
Every year the city of Braga dresses up, reviving the time when it was the capital city of the province of Galicia, at the time of the Roman Empire.
In this real class of outdoor history, we try to recreate the experiences and habits that marked the Roman period of the city, in what was known as "The Bracara Augusta".
From May 24 to 28, 2017, travel to Bracara Augusta, and visit the Roman market, which serves as a stage for various shows, including circus arts, theaters, military simulations and dances of the time of Bracara Augusta.
One of the highlights of the festivities is the traditional reception of César Augusto (27 b.C - 14 a.C), where the founding edict is read and where he is appointed administrator of the city.
The two Roman Courts invade the streets of the historic center, taking you on a journey back in time to all those who visit the city.
